VEX Robotics
What is the RRMS VEX Robotics Team?
The RRMS VEX Robotics Team is a competitive robotics program where students work together in teams to design, build, and code a working robot in order to compete in fun and challenging skill-based games. This team requires students to work collaboratively with each other along with teams from other schools in tournaments. Students learn to use a variety of essential skills to ensure their team is successful at these events. By working as a team students can earn awards and recognition for our school as well as develop lasting friendships and meaningful connections with peers.
Application:
Students in grades 6-8 are accepted to the RRMS VEX Robotics Team each year, however spots are limited. Much like other competitive sports, the VEX Robotics team members are obligated to attend weekly meetings and compete outside of school hours.
Applications and try-outs are done in the fall of each school year and the competition seasons range from November to March.
